Contribute to the TMA portal

The TMA portal that you are currently viewing is a collaborative editing effort.  Populating the portal with interesting content is a task of the whole TMA community, and especially (but not exclusively) of the TMA COST Action participants.  You could, for instance, contribute by writing a page in the section Research Topics about the research topic(s) you are expert of, providing a general description of the state-of-art and an essential bibliography (which of course will never be biased towards self-citations, needless to say).

Each user account on the TMA portal is associated with a user role which determines in what ways the user can contribute content to the portal.  The most important roles are:

Subscriber Discuss on the forum and comment blog postings (if enabled for the posting).
Contributor Contribute content pages, e.g. under the Topics, Resources, and Activities sections.  This role is assigned to a researcher who does not participate in the TMA Cost Action but still wants to contribute content in her/his area of expertise.
Author Like a Contributor.  An Author can additionally view/edit pages that are only accessible by members of the TMA Cost Action.
Editor In addition to an Author, the Editor can create blog postings.

How to create a user account

In order to create a user account please apply at the registration page.  All account requests have to be approved by an administrator of the portal.

In the message area, please tell us briefly how you are connected to the area of TMA, e.g. by providing a link to your homepage or research institute.  By default you will be assigned to the Subscriber role.  If you’d like to become a contributor, please indicate that in the message area and provide additional information – particularly why you qualify for higher priviliges and e.g. in what area of the TMA portal you’re planning to contribute.

People that are already participating in the TMA COST Action, especially those that already have an account at the cost-tma.eu site, are (hopefully) recognized and assigned to the Author role by default.  Unfortunately, it was technically impossible to transfer the existing accounts from cost-tma.eu to the TMA portal.  Sorry.
