Registration, costs and reimbursement

Application Process

The PH.D. candidates (or those master students that a close to graduation and will soon continue their studies as PH.D. students) have to apply for an admittance to the PH.D. courses. To apply, please, send an email to the local organizer (TMA [dot] school <at> gmail [dot] com). Please, fill in the registration form and send it to local organizers (TMA [dot] school <at> gmail [dot] com).

Reimbursemt and costs:

Course is offered free of charge for the selected participants.

Lunches and Lodging - from Sunday to Friday in the offered Hotel ONLY – are covered for ALL participants by the Cost TMA.

Travel expenses and dinners:

  • if you are participating to EuroNF, you are required to use EuroNF money to cover travel expenses, dinners, etc.
  • if you are not participating to EuroNF, and your country is one of the participating parties, CostTMA will reimburse traveling costs up to 250€. NO other costs will be reimbursed (e.g., dinners, local transportation costs, etc.).
  • if you are not a EuroNF member, and your country is not officially participating to the CostTMA, traveling costs and dinners are not reimbursed. Lodging and lunches are offered by the CostTMA.

Applicants of institutions participating in the Cost-TMA action

Students belonging  to any institutions of countries participating to the Cost-TMA action are welcome to participate. The Cost TMA action will cover accommodation expenses and launches. Traveling expenses up to a maximum of 250€ will also be reimbursed. Depending on particular cases, additional support may be offered, e.g., to students coming from distant countries. To ask for additional support, send an email to local organizer (TMA [dot] school <at> gmail [dot] com).

Applicants of institutions participating in EuroNF

The selection process of the applicants affiliated with  institutions of the action EuroNF is governed by  the corresponding team leader of a participating institution in cooperation with the candidates’ supervisors.

Each institution has a budget to cover participation to PhD schools. Students that belong to EuroNF should refer to the local representative to find out the details. Accommodation expenses and launches will be covered by the CostTMA, so that only traveling expenses and dinners have to be covered by EuroNF funds.

Applicants of institutions outside EuroNF and outside COST-TMA

Applicants affiliated with institutions that are not participating in the action EuroNF and are not belonging to countries participating to the Cost-TMA action are welcome to join the PH.D. programme. They are asked to apply directly to local organizer (TMA [dot] school <at> gmail [dot] com), filling in the registration form and indicating that your institution is not participating in EuroNF and Cost-TMA. Only accommodation and lunches will be covered by the Cost-TMA, and traveling expenses and dinners are not included.

Application to the programme

Applications using the application form must follow the rules specified above. The form should be sent immediately together with all requested material to the local organizer (TMA [dot] school <at> gmail [dot] com) of the PH.D. courses.

Deadline of the Application

The deadline for the application is set to December 20th, 2009.

Number of participants:

A maximum of 40 students will be admitted to the course. First come, first serve policy. Precedence is given to EuroNF and CostTMA members.

Selected  Participants

After  the applications have been received, the local organizer will inform the selected participants using the information channels of the EuroNF and Cost TMA actions.  The selected participants are asked to register to the course after their arrival to the conference site.
