Open Post Doc Position
Télécom Bretagne (Brest, France)
1 year, to be filled as soon as possible
A post doc position on traffic measurement and analysis is open at Télécom
Bretagne (Brest, France). This post doc position is open in the
framework of the VIPEER project funded by the French national
research agency.
The candidate will participate to the deployment of a traffic measurement
and analysis testbed. The goal is to automate the classification of
traffic per application or per category of application (P2P,
streaming video, bulk data transfer, etc.) This classification will
not be based on port numbers or Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) but on a
statistical analysis of some traffic descriptors.
The candidate will propose and implement innovative methods for
statistical traffic classification. He/she will also integrate these
methods in a measurement testbed based on a DAG sniffing card to
enable online traffic classification. This measurement testbed will
be part of a global monitoring infrastructure distributed between the
partners of the VIPEER project.
